March 29, 2020 Update

The RAAA Board and Program Directors met this evening and have made the decision to cancel all RAAA events through May 4th, 2020.  The hope is that we will be able to start our sports seasons on that date, but we are also dependent upon ISD #196 and the cities of Rosemount and Lakeville for fields and facilities, all of which are currently closed through May 4th as well.  With the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines extended to April 30th tonight, we will continue to have conversations with those entities to determine what impact that will have.

No decisions have been made to cancel any spring or summer programs at this time.  We are considering some alternate options for the Track program, but it hasn’t been cancelled at this point.  A decision on the track season will be made by April 15th.

In the event of any program cancellation, a full refund of registration fees will be made.  This will be in the form of a check mailed to the address listed in Athletechs.  We are asking each family to log in to Athletechs and make sure the address in your profile is correct.  You can access it via this URL: or by going to and clicking on My Teams in the upper right corner.  You will also find a link on the RAAA homepage to the latest COVID-19 association updates.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate these uncertain and everchanging times.

The RAAA Board and Program Directors will continue to meet weekly and provide any additional updates as they happen.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at

March 22, 2020 Update

The RAAA Board and Program Director are having weekly meetings to stay updated on the current status of the RAAA programs.  All RAAA events are still cancelled through March 29th.  We don't anticipate any changes to that in the next week, so please check back  on March 29th for further updates regarding that.  Should anything change this week, families will be notified accordingly.

Several program registration deadlines are coming due and as such, RAAA has made the decision to waive late fees in order to accommodate families wishing to wait for more details regarding the upcoming seasons.  In order to make sure uniforms and equipment will be here for the season start dates, there will still be hard deadlines for registration closings.  This may happen before we fully know the season start and end dates.  With regard to refunds, please remember that RAAA is a non-profit association and our programs run very lean.  While we have done a great job at managing budgets, there are sunk costs for every program.  Should it get to the point of seasons being cancelled or shortened, refunds will be given.  If the full season is cancelled, then full refunds will be given.  For shortened seasons, we will look to give partial refunds based on the expenses already paid, such as uniforms.  Refunds will most likely be in the form of a check, so please be patient as we work through that process.

March 20, 2020 Update

RAAA is continuing to monitor the ever changing landscape surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

All events are still cancelled through March 29th, 2020.  While no decisions have been made beyond that date yet, we do expect this to have significant impact to our spring sports and possibly into the summer sports.

Please be patient as this situation changes and decisions are made, knowing that the safety and health of the RAAA participants is our top priority.

March 15, 2020 Update

Understandably, recent news surrounding the COVID-19 situation has caused concern on multiple fronts. Please be assured that as the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, your RAAA program and central leaders are monitoring the situation and acting to ensure the ongoing health of our youth, our families and our fellow community members.

RAAA continues to follow guidance of ISD 196 in determining our course of action for event and activity cancelations. In light of today’s announcement from the school district, canceling all classes and activities beginning March 16, RAAA has adopted the following course of action: All RAAA activities are suspended immediately, through March 29, 2020. As the situation changes, we will make further decisions at that time.

We acknowledge there are many uncertainties ahead, and it’s hard to write a message like this without acknowledging that there is a human cost to all of this beyond our kids’ activities. We love to watch our kids play, and our hearts are with all of those affected by this virus.
