RAAA is proud to partner with the Riptide Swim Team to introduce a fantastic competitive swimming experience! This program will take place at the beautiful Bluewater Aquatic Center in Apple Valley and will be led by Riptide’s licensed USA Swimming Certified coaches. This program is brought to you by the same organization that has produced the USA Olympic Swimming Team; one of the most successful sports teams in history. What we’ve learned teaching top athletes to set records will be applied to teach your swimmer to enjoy swimming with the best tools and techniques in the world. If your swimmer enjoys swimming lessons but would now like to see what it takes to compete, this is your opportunity!
This dynamic, five-week session provides a fantastic opportunity for your child to experience the feel of a competitive swim team. This is not a swimming lessons program; rather, it’s a fun, high-energy opportunity to see what it’s like to compete in the sport of swimming. Swimmers will develop physical, mental and social skills through an introduction to:
- Stroke Technique
- Competitive Racing
- Racing Strategy
- Starts & Turns
- Cardiovascular Development
- Competitive Swimming Workout Structures
- Dryland Training
- USA Swimming Organization
- Performance Nutrition

A Word on Safety
We place tremendous emphasis on safety. Your swimmers will be under the expert supervision of Licensed USA Swimming Coaches. Please remember that this is NOT a swimming lessons program. Be aware of the 25-yard freestyle requirement for safe participation in the program. We do NOT require your swimmer to be proficient in backstroke, butterfly or breaststroke; however, a working knowledge of these strokes (through previous lessons experience) would be beneficial.
