Congratulations to everyone who made a team. This is a short season August 28th – October 29th. Our first practice will be Sunday, August 28th at Rosemount High School, practice times will be between 1:00- 6:00 and exact times will be posted early next week. We will have a short parent meeting either before or after that practice. If your daughter did not make a team you have a few options to continue to play.
1.) RAAA inhouse league for 3rd-6th graders. Registration is open until August 26th
2.) RMS Middle school volleyball. Registration begins at open house and everyone makes a team.
3.) Northern Lights Fall Skills and Competition Clinics – offers skills clinics with competition and provides a higher level of play than our inhouse and middle school teams. More information can be found at

July 3, 2011
We will again have a fall traveling volleyball program for girls in 4th – 8th grade. This is an excellent opportunity for girls that are looking for more advanced volleyball than in house or the middle school program offers. Practice this year will be held in the Rosemount area. The middle school teams will not conflict with the volleyball program offered through Rosemount or Scott Highlands Middle School. This program is designed to prepare girls for the winter JO season with a high level of play.
Try outs for 2011 will be held on Thursday, August 18th during the evening at RHS. Please register by August 16th. There will be a non-refundable tryout fee of $10. The season will begin the week of August 22nd and end in late October with games beginning after school starts. Practices will be held on Sundays and then Tuesday or Thursday evenings after 7:30pm and should not conflict with fall softball or soccer. This is a great opportunity for pre-season JO practice, for girls who play a winter traveling sport to play a season of traveling volleyball and girls looking for a more of a challenge than the in-house or middle school programs. 4th- 6th grade Girls who tryout and do not make a team can be transferred to the in house volleyball program with no late fee. Only girls in the Rosemount High School boundaries can try out for Fall Traveling Volleyball. Depending on the number of girls who try out, we may add another team. We highly encourage girls to register for try outs early so if numbers are high we can look for additional coaches for more teams.
4th /5th Grade – There will be 1 team with a combination of 4th and 5th graders. The cost is $190. This team will play double headers on Monday evenings in September and October and Saturdays in Burnsville at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse.
6th Grade – With a large number of girls who attended summer camp, it looks like we will have a 6A and a 6B team. 6A will play on Monday evenings and Saturdays and the cost will be $190. 6B will for sure play Saturdays and we will try to get them in to the Monday evening league. Each town is permitted 2 teams to keep the league at an even number but if one town only has 1 team we will try and add our 6B team. We will not know until August if this is possible. If 6B only plays Saturdays, the cost will be $160, if we can add Mondays, it will be $190. Thanks in advance for understanding.
7th & 8th Grade – The Middle School team(s) will play on Saturdays only at the Midwest Volleyball Warehouse in Burnsville. These teams are created to allow players to continue to play at a high level and prepare for the Winter JO season and be highly competitive in the Middle School League offered at Northern Lights. This will not interfere with Middle School volleyball, so players CAN play both. The cost is $160. Depending on the number of girls who try out, we can add more teams if people register early.
